January 2008

Charleston radio personality and commentator the Southern Avenger recorded this brutally honest message on the eve of the Democrat primary. In it he takes on both parties and discusses hypocricy. Check it out!

Barack Obama energized Black voters in South Carolina and ended up getting their strong support as as they turned out in record number. If we look at the small town of Estill, which is primarily Black and is located in the south of the State we can see how Obama pulled it off. ‘In the 2004 presidential primary, just 264 total votes were cast in Estill. In this primary race, the Obama campaign made sure to send staff and volunteers to the town.’ And, ‘amid unprecedented Democratic turnout across the state, 575 votes were cast in Estill, with 459 of them going to Obama….’ By going to his people and energizing his base, Obama was able to win a crushing victory in a very racially-divided poll.

The Palmetto State has gone largely to Barack Hussein Obama in the Democratic primary. With nearly all princints reporting, he has over 55% to Hillary Clinton’s 26% and John Edwards’ 17%. It is a decisive victory for Obama and gives him at least 19 of South Carolina’s 45 delegates in the Democrat race.

It appeared to come down to a clear racial divide, as was widely predicted. ‘According to exit poll data, Obama appeared to win by a staggering margin among black voters: Four out of five said they voted for him. Obama won a quarter of the white vote, with Clinton and Edwards splitting the rest. Obama had tried to downplay the issue of race, however, as late polls showed his share of the white vote in South Carolina getting slimmer as his numbers among African-Americans rose.’

Whites Divided Over Edwards and Clinton; Blacks Unite Behind Obama

Who did White South Carolinians favor? They were split between Edwards and Clinton mainly, contrasted to very united Black voters. ‘The election was, in fact, racially polarized: John Edwards, the former North Carolina senator, won the white vote, getting 39% of it – but slid into third place because he finished with just 1% of the black vote.  Clinton won 36% of the white vote.’

It appears that lawmakers in the Palmetto State are finally set to take stronger measures regarding illegal immigration. According to this article from the Times and Democrat, ‘The S.C. Legislature has put combatting illegal immigration high on its list of priorities for the new session… House Speaker Bobby Harrell and Majority Leader Jim Merrill are taking the lead in putting forth a plan to address illegal immigration as a state issue. They are calling on the Senate to get on board after immigration legislation stalled in the upper chamber for two consecutive years.’

Recently, Oklahoma and Arizona have both taken strong stands on against the flood of tens of millions of illegal aliens. It is time that South Carolina joined their ranks and helped lead the movement against what can only accurately be described as an invasion.

The Democrat Party in South Carolina appears to be splitting along racial lines – largely aligning either for Hillary or Obama. ‘At least half the voters in the Jan. 26 primary are expected to be African-American. Barack Obama is surging among blacks. Hillary Clinton is winning whites. In South Carolina, the Democratic race may come down to race.’ In fact, outside one of the largest Black churches in Charleston ‘four Obama volunteers waited in the parking lot with stacks of campaign fliers noting — in large capital letters -— that Obama was a “Committed Christian.” Another read that Obama’s candidacy could allow voters to “make our mark on history.”’

Lone White SC Democrat in Congress Refuses to Take Sides

This perhaps puts South Carolina’s lone White Democrat in the US Congress in a difficult position. Indeed, ‘Rep. John M. Spratt Jr., has been curiously silent about the 2008 presidential race. Even as the nation’s eyes have turned to his state and Saturday’s Democratic primary here, Spratt has kept a decidedly low profile and declined to endorse a candidate.’

‘A series of pro-immigration television ads is beginning to hit the air. The ads, produced by a group called Mexicans and Americans Thinking Together, argue that immigration — even illegal immigration — is necessary for the prosperity of America.’ Scott Simon is the organization’s executive director and a veteran Republican strategist.

Yes, if there were any doubt, we continue to be sold-out. And yes, too - the System is indeed broken.

Click here to see a news story from CNN about the exploding illegal alien population in the Palmetto State and its effects on the local, working people of our State. The working people of South Carolina have had their wages driven down by the huge influx. As well, though the news story doesn’t focus on it, the cultural pressure on the native people of the State is mounting. Something must be done.

As we have already posted, the SC League of the South will be staging a protest against the NAACP again. This is the fifth year the SC LoS has done this. Now we have learned that at least one New Confederate Partisans leader is going to be attending and is calling for supporters to gather in support of the effort. All the different groups should follow the lead of the NCP; working together we can of course promote the Cause far more effectively.

LOS Will be Flagging of NAACP on MLK Day
Compatriots,
I can think of no better way of honoring the legacy and memory of Lee and Jackson than by proudly flying our banners in the face of our adversaries.  This is an important flagging for our cause and the SC League of the South could use our help (see the forwarded message below).  I plan to be at the South Carolina State House on the 21st of January with my Battleflag.  Who will join me?

At the recent Republican debate in Columbia, South Carolina presidential candidate and native Tennessean Fred Thompson answered a question about the display of the Confederate Flag. From his answer, we Southerners can plainly see that Fred Thompson is a traitor to the South and to the Southern people. He shames his family, his State and our land – Dixie. We Southern nationalists REJECT Fred Thompson as a traitor and REJECT his alliance for power with alien cultural imperialists. Watch the video right here.
