If value is based upon scarcity, then privacy is no doubt at a premium in America these days. Here are two news stories from mainstream sources that document well the government’s infringement on our basic rights as free citizens of a supposedly free country. One documents the FBI spending one billion dollars to build a huge database with all our personal information - including palm prints, eye scans, tattoo mappings and more. The other story comes from south Florida, where the local authorities are working with the Feds to fly small spy-drones throughout the city and countryside. Imagine walking along with a small government spy-drone flying overhead, recording your every move. Well, that is soon to be a reality for the people of Miami and south Florida. Land of the free, home of the brave? More like land of the closely watched, scared rabbits.

The Ulster-Scots people, also commonly known in America as Scots-Irish, were fundamnetal in the building of South Carolina, the South and much of America. So much of our manner of speach, our culture and music is closely associated with these people. Here is a look at some original Ulster-Scots songs with insight into Ulster-Scots culture.

“The South Carolina Senate amended H 3212, the Right-to-Carry recognition bill, changing it to a conditional reciprocity bill. As passed by the House, this legislation would have required South Carolina to recognize all valid Right-to-Carry permits held by residents of all other states that issue such permits. With the Senate amendment, the bill now will require South Carolina to recognize valid Right-to-Carry permits held by residents of other states, provided the permit issuing process of the other state requires the permittee to undergo a criminal background check, as well as pass a course that teaches firearm safety. While the legislation does not go as far as the House version, it will greatly increase the number of states whose permits South Carolina will now recognize, as well as the number of states that will recognize a South Carolina permit. “
This is an extremely important and timely issue. South Carolinians stand to potentially expand their liberties. We urge all concerned about their rights to contact their officials and say so!

On this very day in 1862 the Federal Government of the United States of America was busily and efficiently waging total war against the State of South Carolina, her citizens and land, as well as the rest of the South. On this exact day, the US Federal Government was killing and wounding Southerners, destroying Southern agriculture, robbing Southern banks, blockading Southern ports, burning Southern courthouses, depots and private homes and in general doing its best to starve the people. In fact, Washington, DC was doing these same things on this very day in 1863 as well. And also in 1864, etc. And it did all of this… to forcibly preserve a political union we had voted to leave. Let us not forget this.

Pat Buchanan has made himself more than clear on how he views John McCain. McCain has said, ‘There’s going to be other wars. … I’m sorry to tell you, there’s going to be other wars. We will never surrender but there will be other wars.’

Bejing Supports Tejanos Claim in North America; Nationalists Celebrate
Posted by PalmettoPatriot under ArticlesLeave a Comment
DALLAS, NORTH AMERICA - Large crowds estimated to number several hundred thousand took to the streets of the city last night to cheer the recent decision by Bejing to recognize their would-be state. Tejano nationalist leaders spoke to the joyful throngs that jammed the city center. Similar demonstrations broke out last night in many other cities across the region. Large screens projected images to the crowd in Dallas of flag-waving compatriots as well as Tejano nationalist videos and political commercials.
“Tejas is ours, now and forever – no one can take that away from us!” One nationalist leader repeated to the gathered. “Especially not now that our friend and ally – the Chinese people - are standing with us. Together we are committed to democracy and human rights for all. That is the interest of the Tejano people.” He said.
While most nations are taking a wait and see attitude in the matter, Beijing was quick to recognize the unilateral declaration of independence from the Tejano Parliament just yesterday. A Chinese humanitarian defense force has been present in the mainly Tejano-majority areas of the region for almost eighteen months. The non-Tejanos, primarily a mixture of Blacks and Asians, along with a small number of Anglos - some of whom are still loyal to the former regime - now constitute less than ten percent of the population throughout the region and have little influence or power. Small anti-independence rallies have been organized in some non-Tejano majority towns in the region for this weekend.
From Louisiana to California, symbols of the new state can be seen everywhere. Red, green and white fills the view. Mexican and Chinese flags and symbols also adorn homes and businesses in many towns. Leaders from Beijing will meet in Mexico City next week to no doubt discuss the situation with Mexican leaders. Meanwhile, in Toronto, leaders of the North American Union have been unable to do much. Fear of civil unrest across the continent as well as Mexico’s veto of any out-right resistance to the declaration on the part of Washington, DC have prevented the United States from doing much.
Scattered fighting continues in some areas, though these have mostly been stabilized at this point. Small bands of militants and rebels have clashed with Tejano security and Chinese humanitarian forces in several rural areas in the eastern part of the region. However, casualties have been low of late, few civil leaders have been killed or power stations blown-up and Tejano officials in Dallas are all smiles when asked about the security situation now. A much larger Chinese force has been promised and with the additional ten to twenty thousand peace-keepers, the rebels will be hopelessly out-gunned.
Note:This is obviously fiction. The North America Union is not yet here. Tens of thousands of Chinese troops don’t occupy our soil. Mexicans haven’t yet assumed total control of the Southwest and Dallas, TX is not the capital of a puppet Mexican state. By the way, in the article, I used the term “Tejano” for the emerging Hispanic majority simply for flavor and to throw off the reader at first. It’s not meant to defame Texans so please don’t take it that way. The article is meant to illustrate to Americans what just happened in the Serbian province of Kosovo.

Charleston Smoking Ban Goes to Supreme Court
Posted by PalmettoPatriot under SC News ItemsLeave a Comment
‘It’s been more than six months since Charleston’s bars and restaurants went smoke-free… But the fight for smoking inside isn’t over. The state Supreme Court continues to weigh a Greenville smoking ban that is expected to impact the near-dozen other smoking bans in the state. And, while the legislature is sitting this round out, they’ll likely be prodded to action by one side or the other depending on where the court lands on the case.’

Is it time to re-evaluate Williams Bennett as a supposedly “conservative” leader? Charleston’s Southern Avenger sure thinks so.
‘When assembling his cabinet in 1980, newly-elected President Ronald Reagan tapped Texas scholar Mel Bradford to chair the Department of the Humanities. Bradford was a conservative’s conservative, a Southern gentleman, a brilliant thinker and indicative of the possibilities for conservatives with Reagan’s victory.
Of course, when it was “exposed” that Bradford had less than flattering views of Abraham Lincoln (mostly by neoconservative elements and beltway Republicans) the controversy destroyed Bradford’s chances.
The position instead went to William Bennett.’
